Welcome and thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Rowe School PTO! Whether you can help one day or once a month, we value any amount of time you are able to give.

ADD ME TO THE PTO VOLUNTEER EMAIL LIST

Please complete this form to let us know if you would like to be contacted about volunteer opportunities and whether you are interested in learning more about our open leadership positions. This form does not obligate you to participate but will simply add you to the list to be contacted as volunteer opportunities arise. Contact president@roweschoolpto.org with any questions.

Current Volunteer Opportunities

Cookie Extravaganza & Hot Chocolate Bar

It’s time for our annual Cookie Extravaganza—a sweet tradition where our community comes together to show appreciation for our amazing staff! Families are invited to contribute one dozen cookies or treats (homemade or store-bought). These goodies will create a festive spread where every staff member can take home a special dozen as a holiday thank-you. We’re aiming for 65 dozen cookies this year!
Please note any dietary-friendly treats (vegan, gluten-free, nut-free), and list what you’re bringing so we don’t end up with twenty trays of the same cookie. If you’re donating more than one dozen, please sign up for multiple spots.

We’re also treating staff to a Hot Chocolate Bar during the school day and are looking for donations like hot chocolate mix, marshmallows, peppermint, whipped cream, caramel, chocolate sauces, mini chocolate chips, and other fun toppings.

Enrichment Program-Call for Volunteers!

We have just wrapped up a fun and successful first-session of enrichment programming for this year. Thank you to everyone who helped make these before and after school clubs so special! We have two more 6-week sessions planned for later in the school year.

As we start planning for future clubs, we are reaching out to our Rowe community to see if any family volunteers might be interested in helping to facilitate future clubs. A few clubs we’d love to be able to offer include:

    • Chess club

    • Oragami

    • Sewing

    • Jewelry Making

But we are not limited to those! We’d love to connect with you if you have any hobbies you’d like to share with our students. Please reach out to Jill at enrichment@roweschoolpto.org or fill out our Rowe Enrichment interest survey to discuss the possibilities!

Walking school bus

In an effort to ensure kids are getting to school safely and on time, Rowe is looking for volunteers to restart the Walking School bus program in the Sagamore Village neighborhood. While Sagamore Village is the priority, if you are a parent and are interested in starting a walking school bus from your neighborhood to Rowe, please email Principal Trivisonno and Kerrie Dowdy if you are interested, Joe -trivij@portlandschools.org and Kerrie -president@portlandea.com.
